Postalloy® Flitewear 3

Postalloy® Flitewear 3 is a very high carbon, chromium hardfacing wire recommended for applications subject to severe abrasion. Deposits are high in rich chromium carbides in a tough matrix. It develops a tight cross-checking pattern (3/8- 1/2 inch). It can be applied to carbon, low alloy, or manganese steels and can be used in hot wear applications up to 900°F (482°C). When used with 100% CO or 75/25 Argon/CO, it offers excellent weldability in flat, horizontal and vertical down positions, the arc is very stable at both high and low voltages settings, and the smoke level is very low.

Flitewear Hardfacing wires have been engineered to improve the efficiency and longevity of screw conveyors, augers, rendering screws and other similar components. They are designed with the OEM in mind, where environmental and production issues are unique. They offer excellent welder appeal and out-of-position welding capability. Bead configurations can vary from stringer to wide weave patterns. Welding arcs are smooth and quiet; smoke levels are extremely low; weld deposits are slag-free.
