Postalloy® 2802-FCG
Postalloy® 2802-FCG is a flux-cored, nickel base hard surfacing alloy with an excellent combination of toughness and resistance to thermal shock, frictional metal-to-metal wear and heat resistance. It maintains its hardness at "red" temperatures, and the low carbon content ensures resistance to thermal shock and fatigue. Machinable deposits are especially resistant to deformation and repeated impact at high temperatures. It also provides superior corrosion resistance to many types of chlorides and salts.Weld deposits work-harden and age-harden in service, providing good wear resistance and will not chip, crack or spall. Use as an underlay for other harder nickel base alloys, such as Postalloy® 2803-FCG, 2804-FCG and 2805-FCG.
