Postalloy® 2501-E Flux-coated Electrode
Postalloy®2501-E conforms to AWS CoCr-C. Contains a higher percentage of chromium carbides than 2506-E and 2512-E weld deposits, and is harder and more wear resistant, but its impact resistance is somewhat lower and is tougher to machine. Higher tungsten content improves the hot hardness properties and matrix toughness at higher temperatures. Weld deposits also have a greater tendency to relief check if welding procedures are not closely monitored.
